The Palo Alto Sub-Committee of SELPA 1 Community Advisory Committee (CAC) and the Palo Alto PTA Council will host their 12th Annual Sweetheart Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, February 24, to honor local youth, PAUSD employees, and community members or organizations , who have made a positive difference in the lives of special needs students in Palo Alto.
“Sweethearts” are nominated by students and their families for their exemplary service, friendship, and for helping students feel connected and competent in their respective areas. The nomination letter describing their exceptional contribution is read for the audience at the awards where they are publicly recognized for going above and beyond.
Nominating criteria: up to three people or organizations “in our community who have made a positive difference in the life of [your] child with special needs”
