Statement to The City of Palo Alto Human Resources Commission Board Retreat (June 14, 2019)
A group of community parents came together, and attended the meeting in support of this statement. Parents voiced the need for equal access to the city of Palo Alto recreational programs for children and youth with disabilities. A strong partnership with the Human Resource Commission was forged, and a pledge for working together in the futureL City recreational program coordinators will be invited to CAC events, and CAC members will participate in City disability-related advisory committtess, and an increase in accessibility and inclusivity of city recreation programs.
